Το Pioneer PLX-CRSS12 είναι το πρώτο πικάπ που υποστηρίζει κανονική αναπαραγωγή βινυλίου και έλεγχο DVS χωρίς τη χρήση βραχίονα ανοίγοντας έτσι νέους ορίζοντες στους λάτρεις του Battle DJing.
Ο DVS έλεγχος χωρίς βραχίονα επιτυγχάνεται με το νέο Magvel Clamp που κρατάει σταθερό τον δίσκο πάνω στο πλατό και το οποίο αποκρίνεται άμεσα στο αντίστοιχο μουσικό αρχείο. Αποφεύγονται έτσι τα γνωστά /"πηδήματα/" της βελόνας διατηρώντας την ίδια στιγμή την παραδοσιακή αίσθηση του scratching. Επιπλέον το Magvel Clamp διαθέτει ρύθμιση για την προσομοίωση βάρους η οποία γίνεται άμεσα και γρήγορα χωρίς να χρειάζεται να διακόψετε το session.
Το ίδιο εύκολα γίνεται και η ρύθμιση της ροπής του πλατό με τις διαθέσιμε 3 επιλογές. High για γρήγορη εκκίνηση, Low για την παραδοσιακή ταχύτητα που οι περισσότεροι DJs χρησιμοποιούν και Mid που βρίσκεται κάπου στη μέση και των δύο ρυθμίσεων.
Στη μπροστινή πλευρά του πικάπ υπάρχει διακόπτης τριών επιλογών που /"φρενάρει/" αντίστοιχα το πλατό. Στην επιλογή Min το σταμάτημα είναι άμεσο, στην Mid το σταμάτημα είναι το κλασσικό ενώ στην Max η διάρκεια είναι μεγαλύτερη για την δημιουργία μιας δραματικής ατμόσφαιρας.

- As with the PLX-1000, the upper part of the chassis is made of high-mass die-cast zinc and the lower part is made of 8mm thick resin to optimize the chassis structure and vibration-damping materials.
- The use of rubber tubes inside the tonearm has further improved vibration control performance over the PLX-1000.
- The RCA terminals are made of machined gold-plated parts, and the phono signal is directly transmitted through a stable connection with the plug to reproduce the sound of analog records with high-quality audio.
A switching power supply is used to eliminate transformer power supply vibration and flux leakage while suppressing unwanted noise, creating high-resolution sound quality.

The Pioneer PLX-1000 – Professional Turntable is designed for personal listening and live performance applications such as DJing at a party or in a club. The table utilizes a high-torque direct drive motor and a classic layout that DJs are familiar with, including tempo control, a start/stop button, and a lighted speed guide. The high-torque motor is capable of at least 4.5 kg/cm of torque and can reach a rotational speed of 33 rpm in 0.3 seconds.
The turntable is built with a heavy-mass zinc die-cast chassis with a reinforced bottom made of 8mm thick resin. The unit’s base is reinforced with a 9mm thick vibration dampening material for stable playback. The tonearm uses rubber insulation to minimize howling effects, and the RCA jacks are gold-plated for lower impedance signals and improved sound quality. For convenience and durability the turntable features detachable power and RCA audio cables to prevent turntable failure as a result of cable failure. An integrated Kensington lock allows you to secure the turntable to the DJ booth.
The turntable allows for tempo adjustments of ±8, ±16, and ±50%, with a reset button for instant ±0% fixed rotation speed. It comes with a turntable sheet, a slip mat, a dust cover, a head shell, a balance weight, a sub weight, a shell weight, an adapter for EP records, a power cord, a stereo RCA audio cable, and a ground wire.
